The Martha’s Vineyard Public Charter School graduates 15 seniors this year, the second largest class in school history. They are a close-knit group — like a family, or a “loud pack of cousins,” said senior Winter Muric.

Graduation takes place Saturday, June 6 on the school grounds, and last week the students gathered at Owen Park for the annual senior lunch.

With interests spanning across many different fields, the graduating seniors have excelled in academics and trades, mentored younger classes and brought an infectious energy to the school’s day-to-day activities.

“We all really display the values of what the charter school hopes to instill in people, and in ways that are fundamentally unique to each of us,” said Bangii-Kai Bellecourt. “Everyone here wants to go into different fields and has really open minds about everything.”

Members of the class of 2026 are: Amanda Silva, Angel Walker, Aubriel Tomkins, Bangii-Kai Bellecourt, Gabriela Lino, Ian Patricio, Jack Baer, Kali Spain, Nicola Capece, Landen Elderkin, Phoebe Nichols, Reid Kerns, Rose Smilie, Winter Muric and Wyatt McCarthy.
