The Martha’s Vineyard Public Charter School will soon be a stop on the African American Heritage Trail, as the school educates students about the history of slavery on-Island.

In what will be the latest addition to the African American Heritage Trail of Martha’s Vineyard, the students’ rocks will be lined up in a row at the front of the Charter School, with the Heritage Trail plaque at the forefront of the display. Visitors who are following the trail will come and see the rocks dedicated to those who lost their names, but were never forgotten. Read more on MV Times
