About the International Baccalaureate
The philosophy of the IB centers around the elements of international-mindedness, student-centered education, and inquiry-based learning. The IB seeks to cultivate lifelong learners who are empowered to make a positive impact on the world, ultimately contributing to a more peaceful and better world. A central element of the IB is the development of skills in students, that will serve them well beyond their educational experience in the program.
The IB Learner Profile is a set of 10 attributes that represent the IB mission in action.

Mission Statement from the IB
The International Baccalaureate aims to develop inquiring, knowledgeable and caring young people who help to create a better and more peaceful world through intercultural understanding and respect.
To this end the organization works with schools, governments and international organizations to develop challenging programmes of international education and rigorous assessment.
These programmes encourage students across the world to become active, compassionate and lifelong learners who understand that other people, with their differences, can also be right.
