Cyber Safety and Awareness Presentation

Overview

The Cape & Islands District Attorney’s Office Cyber Safety Awareness presentation has reached thousands of students from districts across the Cape and Islands since 2011. Research indicates that children are using digital devices increasingly at younger ages. Educating young people on the proper behavior and use of those devices should start at an early age.

The presentation consists of a one-hour PowerPoint presentation with up-to-date information on important internet and device-related topics including safety concerns, cyber bullying, privacy, and behavior concerns as well as the District Attorney’s office involvement with criminal violations while using digital communication devices. We also incorporate question and answer participation by students.
